Apple sidecar question

I’m currently using a macbook pro 13” from 2017 and it is up to the latest update which is Ventura version. I also have an ipad pro m2 and it is now in ipados 17. I tried the sidecar feature but it only works for a few minutes and my ipad crashed and the screen sharing was not working sgain. Is there any solutions to this or is it that my mac is too old?
