Hello berlinaugustine,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.

Start with these troubleshooting steps if your iPhone is not working as you would expect: If your iPhone or iPad is running slow - Apple Support

There have been several incremental iOS 17 updates released. Please be sure to install the latest available updates before restarting your device again. It can also be helpful to install App Store updates if you have not already.

If you are noticing that your device is becoming warm with normal use, please check these situations where this may be expected: If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold.

Please reply back or contact Apple Support directly if the issue continues: Apple Support

All the best!

Hi berlinaugustine,

Thanks for the clarifying info.

When you are making these calls, are you also using other apps while talking? Sometimes if using apps which use data, such as Maps, while talking, your iPhone may get warm.

Do you ever see a temperature warning?

If you are using a physical SIM, try reseating it, and test if that helped.

Take care!
