Can't wirelessly sync devices to iMac after iOS 17 update

iOS 17 on iPhone 13. iPad OS on iPad Pro 5th gen. macOS 13.5.2 on iMac.

After installation if iOS 17 on both idevices sync to iMac fails to start wirelessly. Everyone is on the same WiFi. Sync starts when idevices on cable to mac (after being prompted to install some SW on mac when cable to mac plugged in to idevice). I need to be able to sync wirelessly as before. Don't want cables laying around on desk. Any suggestions to get idevices to sink wirelessly, as before iOS 17 installation?

I'm having the exact same issue with my iPhone 12 running iOS 17 with my Macbook Pro 16 inch M1 Pro. It gets stuck on 'preparing to sync' and never goes further than that. Have tried restarting everything but still have the same issue. Never had this problem before iOS 17. Mine also doesn't work when it's wired to the Macbook, so I can't sync at all even after installing that software for the Mac.

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 17.0.1 & my brand new MBA M2.

I had no issues prior to today, and everything is up to date. I've restarted AND reset settings, and removed everything from WiFi, so only wired. It gets stuck on step 2 (preparing to sync).

I do NOT have the issue syncing between my old iPod Touch (which is definitely not running iOS 17) & the new MBA (which is running 13.6).
