Cannot swipe left of right for new watch faces in watchOS 10

Changing the face on watchOS10 is explained in Customize the watch face:

Touch and hold the watch face, swipe to the one you want, then tap it.

You are welcome. If you want to let Apple know about your preference regarding that change, be sure to provide Apple Watch Feedback. The form has not yet been updated for watchOS10, but you can indicate which version you are using in your comments.

I had the same issue as well as saved faces on my phone wouldn’t load at all. Once I unpaired and repaired my watch everything resolved itself.
