Colors on Imac were adjusted by me. How do I return to Factory Display settings? Too bright or clear to see all options

Factory colors on the monitor were changed. Words can not be viewed.

which switches to apply to return to viewable screens?

Also check System Settings > Accessibility > Display and make sure that Display Contrast: is set to Normal.

Try starting up in Safe Mode and see if you can change the settings from there.

Try System Settings>Displays>Color>Open Profile, then try iMac or Adobe RGB.
