iPhone 13 pro max continuosly downloading something unknwon...

I recently got the iPhone 13 Pro Max and promptly updated it to iOS 16, ensuring that all software components were current. To manage data consumption, I disabled auto-updates and background apps.

However, I've noticed that my internet connection consistently operates at over 5 Mbps, causing my data plan to deplete rapidly. Shockingly, in less than an hour, over 13 GB of my data bundle has already been used up. It appears as though some process is actively downloading content, but I'm unable to identify the source. This situation is not only eating up my phone's storage but also consuming my precious data plan.

I'm in urgent need of assistance to identify and rectify this issue. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello desphixs,

When it comes to cellular data, that can encompass a great many things from MMS messages to maintaining your cellular signal to downloading, syncing, and updating apps. Greater usage of data and battery after an update isn't uncommon as processed related to the update complete in the background. If you want to have greater control over when that is used, then we recommend Low Data Mode as outlined at View or change cellular data settings on iPhone - Apple Support

To set options when Cellular Data is on, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options, then do any of the following:
* Reduce cellular usage: Turn on Low Data Mode, or tap Data Mode, then choose Low Data Mode. This mode pauses automatic updates and background tasks when iPhone isn’t connected to Wi-Fi

Cheers!
