iPhone 15 Pro usbc to usbc charger and CarPlay

I am considering the iPhone 15, but it seems to only have a USB-C to USB-C connection.

This is a problem for me because I only have USB-A in my 2023 4Runner. Without the USB-A to lightning connection, my CarPlay does not work.

I have tried an adapter, which was USB-A male to USB-C female.

The cable that I used was USB-C male to lightning male.

I plugged the lightening end to my current iPhone 11Pro. This did not work for me.

Does anyone know if a special adapter might be necessary for this to work or if it would work?

Thanks.

The link is of the USB-A to USB-C cable by Belkin that works for my best friend in her car. I am surprised that it isn’t standard to have both USB-A and USB-C ports in newer model vehicles but it seems like a lot of people are posting on here about 2022/2023 vehicles still only having USB-A…a base model 2019 I had came with both as well as my current 2022 by a different manufacturer. I assumed this was becoming more standard since they were trying to accommodate Apple products as well as Android (hence most radios having both CarPlay and Android Auto now too). But I digress.
