Phone number change in iMessage group chat

There would not be a notification sent for any of your messages or contacts, including group messages. You would need to share your new contact information with those you choose to have access to that information.

If you change your phone number, the group text message will no longer update for you and will not automatically change to reflect your new phone number. You will need to start a new group message thread, or be added back to the existing one by a group member. Send a group text message on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
