Yesterday I installed watchOS 9.6.2 on my Apple Watch 6.
Despite the fact that my iPhone and Apple Watch confirm that they are connected, Apple Watch apps that require internet to retrieve data do not work. Essence of the error messages is that the app is unable to connect.
Does anyone else have this issue since 9.6.2?

My watch updated automatically to the new watch version. It seemed to work ok but did run out of battery rather quick. Put in on charge Sunday night. By Monday it’s fully dead. Can’t force the restart/ reset and isn’t charging. Tried lots of things so a visit to the store today. I swear that the latest 9.6.2 has done something to my watch to break it.

I have faced the exact same problem.
Have you been able to find a solution and gotten your Apple Watch started?
I visited the local Apple Store, and their solution was to simply discard this watch and buy a new one claiming this is not repairable any more.
Please do suggest and share if you were able to get your watch fixed.

Apple sent the watch to the tech guys and said that there was another issue despite what I’d reported. They said the Ethernet port wasn’t working. It would cost over £229 to fix it. Found out they won’t fix it though they’ll give me a reconditioned watch.
