Shared notes not updating correctly

My wife & I have several shared notes on our iPhones. Most of them work correctly, but one particular note almost never updates correctly. We use it to keep track of when our cats are fed. The note says "🐱 Boys fed 105 pm," for example. The cats need to be fed approximately every 3 hours, so when one of us feeds them, that person updates the note with the time of day. The other person’s note sometimes doesn’t change at all, or it updates scrambled. It might say something like "🐱 Boys fed 1005105 ampmpm" or otherwise scrambled. If we both open the note at the same time, they will both adjust to the proper updated information, but of course having to do that defeats the purpose of sharing the note. I have tried different settings for the note, but the problem persists.
