I need to stop the trash from emptying on Ventura????

I need to stop the trash from emptying on Ventura... It says that the items I wish to recover are in the emptying process. FYI there is not a secure empty option available on the preferences for Finder so I do not know that they are being deleted securely.

I also use an M.2 4T drive to store my additional data. I checked the most recent backups and I do not see the directory there to recover from why? I see the other directories in my view or search but this one directory is missing. I hope to recover some docs to recover some transaction information. I was not aware I was deleting this when trying to synchronize some directories. Thanks

I see the Apple Recommended symbol in the list and recommended answer at top of this page as expected. Maybe try refreshing the browser page.

Files stored on an External Drive will appear in the Trash ( Bin ) in the Dock

If the Trash ( Bin ) has not been emptied and once the External Drive is remove from the Computer - the Trash ( Bin ) in the dock will appear as Empty.

The moment the External Drive is re-attached to the Computer - those Files that were in the Trash ( Bin ) will reappear in the Trash ( Bin )

So in effect the files were not Deleted until you purposefully choose the Empty the Trash

I need to stop the trash from emptying on Ventura????
