Photos not showing in messages contact screen After upgrading to iOS 16, the photos shown in messages related to certain contacts disappeared. How do I get those photos to show up under the contacts again? For example, when you are in a text message screen and you click on a contacts name at the top, it shows all the photos that have been exchanged in that conversation, however most of the photos in that conversation are now missing after upgrading to iOS 16. They still show up in the conversation, but the software doesn’t appear to be recognizing they are photos to show up in that contact screen.

Unable to restore recent missing contacts in iPhone My iphone 14 Pro (iOS 18.1.1) recently stopped showing recent recipients/contacts when I go to share a photo from the photo app. I found at least one other discussion covering this topic from like 3 years ago, but the solution it suggests did not fix it for me. "Learn from this app" is in a different place in settings, and is already toggled on for both photos and messages.
