iPhone 14 pro max (new). google maps will show my location when only cellular is available, but won't search or map an saved location unless there's a wifi connection. Other apps only work with wifi also

Go to Settings/Cellular and turn it on, then turn on the switches for all of the apps that you want to use with cellular data.
And if they are on and you are using VPN dump the VPN, including deleting your VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management.
