Screen Time: Does All Apps & Categories override other category limits?

I can't get a straight answer for this. I'm wondering: if I set limits on specific app CATEGORIES, but also set a limit for "All Apps & Categories", who wins? With the latter override the individual category?

Use case: I want to set my kid's "Social" Category to 2 hours, and the Game category to 3 hours, but regardless of usage, I want access to ALL apps cut off after 4 hours.

So will the kid get 4 hours TOTAL, or as much as 9 hours cumulative (2 hours for social + 3 hours for games + 4 hours for everything else)?

Thanks in advance!

I would earnestly request you post queries based on your experience and not base them on some other posts. Have you ever tried it even?

There is no way to Select 2 Hours for Social and 3 Hours for Games if you select "All Apps and Categories".

This is a conflicting Screen Time setting that you are looking at.

When you set a Screen Time limit for "All Apps and Categories" with a cutoff of 4 hours, any individual category time limits you set for categories like "Social" or "Games" will be effectively overridden by the overall limit.
