Why can’t I stop a timer with Siri?
With Siri I can can start, change and pause an active (still counting) timer.
But when the timer finally goes off, I can't seem to ask Siri to stop the timer alert.
My daughter can on her iPhone 11, but I can’t on my XR…
We are both on version 16.6
Anyone have any suggestions?

We'd be happy to help. We test for this on our devices and we're able to start and stop a time with Siri. To confirm, when you start a time are you using the built-in Clock app? If so, you should be able to use "Hey Siri, stop", "Hey Siri, stop timer", and "Hey Siri, stop the timer" to stop the timer.
If your device is up to date, try restarting it. Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

I’ve tried all of those things to no avail.
My daughter has an iPhone as well, and we cook together. Her Siri will stop the timer sounding, and my Siri won’t even open while the timer sounds.
When your hands are full of bread dough, it’s a really helpful little feature to have.
Any other ideas?

I must be missing something, because I only get two options, schedule a repair or contact carrier.
Neither of which seems appropriate…
