my iPhone SE has an enlarged screen and I cannot return to normal size. double tap does not work.

I picked up my phone and found the screen had enlarged icons that would not reduce and I cannot move around the screen to turn off and on again. or do anything.

iPhone SE, iOS 16

Turn off Zoom in Settings on your device

If you can't access Settings because your Home Screen icons are magnified, double-tap with three fingers on the display to zoom out.
To turn off Zoom: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Zoom. Tap to turn off Zoom.

If your Home Screen icons are magnified on your iPhone, iPad ..

Now found answer in apple support. Press volume up quickly, then press volume down quickly, then hold button on right until apple logo appears. Bingo!!!
