How do you transfer the owner of a HomeKit home? Not invite residents or guests; how do you pass ownership?

HomeKit - change home owner Hello! I am looking for a way to change the home owner in the HomeKit app. I recently moved back in with my parents and my father is currently the owner of the home but he is struggling to keep up with the technology and would like to transfer ownership to me. It currently seems that this is not an option but I’d like to figure out how his can be done (if possible after all) or at least an official response from Apple as to when it is estimated this will become possible. Transferring HomeKit Ownership We are selling our house. I have an extensive number of devices and automations that are controlling everything. Can I just share the home with the new owners and then delete the two accounts that we have to transfer control to the new owners?

HomeKit - Resident Owner question The HomeKit "Resident Owner" on my app does not look right. Let me give you an example of what I am seeing ; ** EXAMPLE SETUP We only have 2 users in our house, B. and J. D. When we look on our iPhones and iPads - if we go to settings - we see our "apple id, icloud, media" id. This has our name, 2 initials and our apple id ; DEVICE NAME INITIAL APP-ID iphone ipad iphone ipad appletv default and only user ** ISSUE When I go to "HOMEKIT - HOME - HOME SETTINGS - PEOPLE" under 'Resident (owner)' I am seeing Doe J. DJ When I select this person entry to get more information I am seeing Doe B. DB This just looks messed up to me. The 'Resident Owner' is my wife's apple-id (but the initials are reversed). But when I select this person entry it brings up my apple-id info (but the initials are reversed). To me it should look like this "HOMEKIT - HOME - HOME SETTINGS - PEOPLE" under 'Resident (owner)' Doe B. BD When I select this person entry to get more information I should see Doe B. BD ** FIX ATTEMPT 1 I removed my HomeKit setup and thought I would start from scratch. But before I had done any setup - I went to "Resident Owner' - I saw the same above issue. Any ideas on how to fix this up? [Personal Information Edited by Moderator]

Hey there MciPhone,

There's not a way to transfer the 'owner' of HomeKit accessories. You would just give them the devices, and let them set it up in their own home.
