iTunes going to Monterey seems to have an issue converting .itl files right now. Any workarounds?

I am moving an iTunes account to a newish M1 Pro with Monterey.

After attempting the Option-start-Music and Choosing the .itl file from the old library in an external drive, creating the new Music Folder, there seems to be an issue and Music just says 'Uploading' with the endless spinning 'wheel'.

I have read on a reply to a similar article How to safely update my old iTunes librar… - Apple Community and on this Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community that "If you were planning on going to Monterey then that seems to have an issue converting .itl files right now. Details and workarounds if needed."

Looking for that workaround.

Hi there. If you have access to a computer running Catalina or Big Sur, you can use that to covert the .itl file to the .musiclibrary format, then copy the converted database to your Monterey machine. Or you could export the library as an XML file, and import that XML file in Monterey, but that will reset all date added values. Or you can email your .itl (or a cloud link to it) to me, I will convert it using Catalina, and post back to you. My email address is in the bio of my profile here.
