Anyone know of a good way to delete the country from my contacts if they are "US", "USA", or "United States"?
I tried writing an AppleScript which would do it but it's having no effect.

Well thank you kind sir - you were exactly right.
It's been a while since I wrote an AppleScript and I couldn't figure out for the life of me what I was doing wrong. I spent quite a few hours trying to figure it out, but I didn't want to have to go through manually over eleven hundred contacts. Even bought a few products hoping something would allow me to do this.

You have to add a save statement at the end of the script right before the end tell.
I just ignore the elements I have no use for.
