Hi, on iPhone6 I had a Live photo, chose different Key frame, then chose "Duplicate as still photo" - then I opened the duplicated photo to crop it. But when I Edit that photo, it suddenly changes to what I assume was the original key frame. How is that possible? I thought when I "Duplicate as still photo" that it would save ONLY the chosen key frame??

Thanks for the suggestions giantcat. A screenshot is a reasonable suggestion, but then you lose all the photo metadata (location, time, etc), so it is not ideal. Thanks for the Apple Support link. I will wait to see if there are more answers, but that might be the required route.

We went and played with this action a little more. Keep in mind, we used an iPhone with iOS 16.6, and an iMac with macOS Ventura 13.5, which are both the latest releases.
With both devices we ran across the same issue. This tells us this function is not available, or not functioning as expected.
The only way to know for sure is to contact Apple Support and let them look into this.

It's possible that it's expected behavior. You can get around this by taking a screenshot of the original photo after you choose another key frame, then editing the screenshot.
