Google Redirects to Bing with Safari

Using Safari vs 16.5 browser on mac book pro, os ventura 13.4. General searches at google.com (my default page on safari) result in a redirect to Microsoft Bing.

I had to reinstall my operating system a couple of weeks ago. Since that time I have encountered this issue. Don't remember downloading anything -- unless it was from a trusted web site -- but I guess I must have. I would like to correct this problem. Would appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thank you.
