My new Apple Watch stopped working the very first time I went in water. How can I get it start working again?

There is a red lightning bolt with the time (occasionally) and the Apple symbol was blinking all during the charge last night.

Try and force restart it to see if the issue persists

To force restart, hold down the side button and the Digital Crown at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Please keep in mind that Apple Watch is water resistant, not water proof. This condition will wane over time, so water damage is possible. If the forced restart and prolonged charging are not working, please Contact - Official Apple Support to set up hardware service for your watch
