Calendar App repeats all annual events on a DAILY basis when syncing iPhone to Mac Studio!

Are people having problems with their annually repeating events changing to repeating DAILY when you sync your iPhone to your Mac?

I recently upgraded from an iMac to a Mac Studio. My iMac was running Monterey, which was the most up-to-date OS it could handle. The Mac Studio is running Ventura 13.5.1.

After synching my iPhone to my new Mac Studio, all of the calendar events that were supposed to repeat annually transferred to my Mac Studio Calendar as repeating DAILY. It was a nightmare because I had entered birthdays on the calendar rather than putting those dates in my contacts.

I called phone support and the person I spoke with wasn't aware of this problem. I initially thought that there was an issue migrating my info from Time Machine, since there was a significant gap in the Operating Systems on my computers, but the problem was not with the Time Machine data transfer.

My calendar was such a mess. I deleted all the calendars on my Mac Studio and synced my iPhone so they were all blank. Then I turned on my old iMac, went through the Calendar and added the birthdays to their respective contacts, added upcoming appointments to the calendar, and added a couple of items that were meant to be repeated annually.

The problem happened when I synced my phone to my Mac Studio. When the calendar dates transferred, the events that were supposed to repeat annually showed up as repeating daily on my Mac Studio Calendar. Everything still looked normal on the phone.

I edited the daily events on my Mac Studio to repeat annually, and when I synced my iPhone again, everything was as it should be.

The problem happens when annually repeating events are entered into an iPhone and synced to a Mac Studio.

This has been happening to me for years. It's so frustrating. It messes up knowing who I'm supposed to see in the future and the history for billing. It switches weekly and yearly repeated events to daily. I ended up deleting all yearly events and had to re-input them. I've contacted apple support numerous times since upgrading my Macbook Pro to Ventura. I use the USB connection because I have HIPAA compliant info and don't want to risk it on the Web. This is such a simple task and the only reason I switched to an iPhone. I wanted seamless syncing and backups. What's the point? I end up spending time correcting the stupid calendar or endlessly talking to apple support instead of doing other critical tasks.
