my iphone 13 pro max has no image/display when powered on but it still vibrates rings and charges fine ive also did a hard restart now will my phone still back up automatically ? without having to unlock the phone i remembering having icloud back up turned on i just wanna know if it still backs up even with a black screen

It only backs up automatically when it is connected to wifi, plug to power source and locked.
Assuming you've backed up before.
