backup iphone
I'm trying to back up my phone and when I turn on the backup this iPhone won't stay in the on position.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.
We understand you're unable to back up your iPhone because the selection button turns itself off. Make sure that you have available storage in iCloud. You can check your iCloud Settings > your name > iCloud and storage will show along the top. You can remove what you don't need in iCloud or purchase more storage.

Also, make sure that your iPhone has been restarted and running th most recent software update for the most recent performance fixes.
