Hi my Apple TV sound will only have the background music not the speaking if that makes sense

Possibly you are using a left and a right speaker, but Apple TV is set to surround sound. Then you would be missing the audio meant for the center speaker, which is where most of the dialog is when using surround sound. Try settings Apple TV: Settings﹥Video and Audio﹥Audio Format﹥Change Format﹥Stereo.
