Apple MagSafe Battery Pack slow

Hello,

I recently got the Apple MagSafe Battery pack for my iphone. However, I think it is broken:

Altough its connected to my phone, the battery discharges faster than the battery is charging. Thus, although connected with my iphone (and fully charged), my phone runs out of battery.

The only way to keep my phone running is using a cable-based power bank.

Could that be a production fault or is the product itself misconstructed? Can I somehow record the current charging speed to compare different wireless charger?

It may be possible that it is defective. However, to get it replaced for free, for that reason, it will need to be examined by an Apple Technician. As such, I suggest that you make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options.
