Volume Control Buttons Not Working
All of a sudden, the volume control buttons on my keyboard for my iMac do not work. The mute button does, but not the ones to lower or increase volume.

Thanks. I am on Ventura 13.5.1. I just got it working again. I unplugged my external speakers, restarted computer, and plugged them back in.

Have you tried booting into safemode and/or updated to Ventura 13.5.1?

I just experienced the exact same problem. What ended up working was plugging in a pair of headphones/earbuds into the 1/8" mini jack (which I was able to adjust volume with the F11 & F12 keys) and unplugging them again.
At that point, I was once again able to adjust my speakers volume with the keyboard.
The headphones either clears a short or dirty contact in the mini jack or it allows the OS to perform some kind of reset in the audio control software.
I hope this simple, but not too intuitive, fix works for you and others.
Cheers, Ed
Make sure your System/Keyboard IS NOT set as shown in this screenshot:
If it is you can hold down the Fn key and the volume keys will work. If you don't want to have to use the Funky then unselect the option in the screenshot above.
Thanks, I did not have that setting you asked me to check. See my answer above that I got it working again.
