Night photos are blurry, or purple

I have a 1 month old IPhone 14 pro, and it’s night photos are acting up. For whatever reason when I take a night photo with a max exposure of only 10 seconds, it shows up blurry, but if said night photo had a max exposure of 30 seconds, it shows up as purple. Their is little to no light pollution, and the phone is steady. Can anyone help me?

Are you taking the night photos hand held or on a tripod?

Does it look like motion blur or is the main subject not focussed?

You may want to test, if to is making a difference, if you avoid motion blur by using a tripod or putting the iPhone on a table or somewhere else, where it will not move while taking the picture. The iPhone should be able to stabilise the photo, even with a handheld iPhone, but that requires that the scene contains objects with strong edges. When I am taking handheld nightshifts, I am usually trying to include some structure at the border of the image, so the iPhone can stabilise the image.

Also make sure you tap the main subject with your finger tip, that you want to be focussed.
