I have an iPhone 12 Pro running 16.6 and WSJ 14.0.1 and the widget is not available anymore.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app and restarted the phone (including today) to no avail.
It disappeared about 1.5-2 weeks ago.
I messaged their support team, and they claim it’s an Apple issue.

I’ve experienced the same problem. Not just WSJ app, but others, too, not showing up on Today View screen (the widget screen that appears when you swipe right). It’s not a push notification problem, and WSJ staff is right, it’s an apple problem.
Please check two things...
Yes. I am logged into the app. Yes, I have notifications allowed, though unsure how that would impact the existence (or lack thereof) of a widget.
Apple support told me that the new iOS update wiped out the WSJ widget and there is nothing to be done about it. Fun, huh?
