Can’t install MacOS after reset

I am going to sell my MacBook Pro 2017, so I tried manually resetting the mac following these steps: Dette bør du gjøre før du selger, gir bort, bytter inn eller resirkulerer Macen din - Apple-kundestøtte (NO), and I seemed to be able to complete step 6 (delete mac), but not step 7 (reinstall MacOS). When I try reinstalling I get the message «the recovery server could not be contacted». Might be something wrong with the disc? I have no idea and haven’t been able to solve it.
