How can the audio be turned off for Safari

I am tired of Safari high jacking the audio while I browse and listen to a podcast. I want to turn off Safari’s access to my audio? Or at least ask before it interrupts my podcast.

yep. Me too. It’s awful when you put music on the speakers from Apple Music. And when you start browising suddenly some stupid add from safari plays in. Then you need to get back to Apple Music and press play and leave the web page with the stupid add. 🤷🏼‍♀️
