Why do I have an iCloud email I’ve never seen?

I have recently been a victim of fraud & identity theft. I’m new to to the Apple/iPhone experience. When doing a deep dive into my phone, I find iCloud addresses I don’t recognize. One appears to be linked to my ex husband’s email, but he doesn’t have an iPhone and wouldn’t know my iCloud info. Any ideas?

Hello Jones5309,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

If you feel your Apple ID account has been compromised, let's first gain control of your account following these steps:

"Gain control of your Apple ID

  1. Change your Apple ID password
  2. If your Apple ID password has been changed by someone else, reset your password.
  3. Go to appleid.apple.com to update any of personal or security information that isn't correct or that you don't recognize.
  4. Check with your email address* provider to make sure that you control every email address associated with your Apple ID. If you don't control an email address, work with your email provider to regain control or use a different email address."

Additional details and steps can be found here: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised

Can you also provide a few more details? Are you using a password that your ex husband may know? Has he ever logged in or used your device before? Also, when did you first start noticing these email addresses?

Cheers!
