How to Map a hidden folder as a network drive on Macbook Pro Monterey

Hello,

I have a server that allows the LAN to access a share, however, this share is hidden. Therefore, it will need to be access via path name.

Example;

Server - MoonLight

Hidden Share - Darkness

Public Share - Shine

When connecting to MoonLight via Finder>Connect Server > smb:MoonLight

  • User is able to see "Shine" Share, but unable to see "Darkness" Share

When connecting to Moonlight/Darkness via Finder>Connect Server> smb:Moonlight/Darkness

  • User is within the "Darkness" share. However, on the finder tab it shows "MoonLight" and when clicking on the Moonlight name on the tab, it just backs out to the main server and I can no longer get into the "Darkness" share.

Question: How can i map my network drive to automatically load to "Darkness"?

Windows Equivalent: Map Network Drive > \\MoonLight\Darkness

MacBook Pro (M1, 2020)
