MacBook Air M1 screen got cracked without any apparent reason

I am a student at IIT Patna.I bought a macbook air m1 less than 1 month ago but now it screen has got a crack without any apparent reason.

I was working on the Mac at night and it was working normal.I shut it down like normal at night but when I opened it in the morning I saw that it's screen has got a crack. The whole night Mac was kept on my table, I couldn't understand how it got a cracked screen.

When I contacted apple service centre they said that it's a physical damage. They are saying it's completely my fault.

This was my first apple product and I am never gonna purchase any apple product further in my life.

We are not Apple and have no more influence over Apple than you do. We are just end users like you.

You are welcome to use whatever brand devices you choose. If Apple does not suit your fancy, I suggest Android phones and Windows computers. Maybe even Linux as an OS if that appeals to you.

I bought an M1 on clearance in late summer and by October it had lost the anti-glare coating in an area that aligns with the track pad. I also saw white "scratches" right above the sharp aluminum corner near the right hinge. I made an appointment with the (non) Geniuses and they insisted on using the Apple Care + even though the MacBook Air never left my house and did not have any accident whatsoever. They said the "scratches" that I attributed to the sharp corner on the lower aluminum case was in fact a cracked screen. My display was replaced but now I am concerned that this will become a regular thing every 90 days. While at the Apple Store. the manager refused to say that this was a known issue. So I looked it up and in under a minute I found photos of the same cracks in the same location near the same sharp aluminum corner on an iFixIt post. Nevertheless I was charged a $100 deductible and was given no assurance that if it happened again, I would not be charged again. No wonder Apple is promoting the Apple Care +: You'll need it even if you don't "abuse" your product! Needless to say as someone who never even so much as broke a single device in over 25 years of Apple product use — to include cell phones dating back to the mid 1990s and an original iPod Photo in mint condition — I'm pretty ticked off that they thought it was accident damage. Obviously, they received the memo not to admit to any knowledge or awareness of this issue, even though it stretches credulity to believe they haven't encountered these Genius Bar appointments for similar issues on a MacBook Air M1 that first came out 2+ years ago!
