Open txt files with Office365

I have text files in my Google drive that I can’t edit in iOS Files app.

i installed Office 365 (no subscription) to open and edit text files. When I used the Files app in Office all the txt files are grayed out.

How can I make Office365 open txt files?

Greyed out files in file dialog shortly after saving Hi! There is an issue that is sometimes really bugging me. I save a file and want to attach it to an e-mail. Oftentimes that last saved file is greyed out when I try to do that and I can’t select it. When I exit the file dialog and try again, the problem is gone and I can select the file. Waiting longer after saving the file has no effect. That has never been a problem until it started to behave like that maybe a year ago, maybe longer, I don’t quite remember. The most annoying part is that I have to navigate to that file again when I try to attach it to an e-mail the second time. I could probably just drag and drop that file from the finder. But I don’t really want to change my workflow because of some weird and unpredictable behavior. Any ideas? Am I the only one experiencing this?

Hot to edit libre Office files on iPad I’d like to edit documents (mainly ods and odt) that I use everyday on my macbook during my workday when I’m on the move. And doing it smoothly. I have all the documents I use in iCloud. The idea is very simple: to be able to modify files in the iPad and see the changes afterwards seamlessly on my computer and vice-versa. Quite disappointed to see the lack of app in the App Store to do the job. I’ve tried Collabora office, but find it complicated to work with. Also numbers itself but saves the files in numbers format, not libreoffice format. Anybody who had tried something useful for doing this job? Thank you very much. [ I guess there must be a lot of people out there using the iPad for doing more things like working than just shopping, social networking or watching movies.]

That would be a question for Microsoft.

The Apps need to set themselves up to open a particular file type. If the Word or Power Point apps are not set to open the .txt file it won't be able to be opened by them.
