How do I verify a vanilla visa gift card

when I’m trying to add it, it keeps saying to verify it and it declined the payment method

A new Visa gift card cannot be verified on my payment list i am trying to add a new visa gift card to my payment list but no matter what I do, it says that it cannot be verified. I’ve used it before so i know it works. I’ve tried some things on here that were requested and none of them have worked. This problem is the same on my phone and my iPad both from apple. I am using the i phone 13 and the 10th generation i pad. They are not old, so I don’t understand why it isn’t working. I always add cards and pay for things and it works so I don’t know what to do. It stays cannot verify payment When I try to add my Visa gift card that’s already activated too add a payment it wouldn’t let me add the gift card it says “ cannot verify payment information contact Apple support for more information“

Are you trying to add the visa gift card to your Wallet app on your iPhone? If so, are you seeing an error notification? What is the error? Please review the support article linked below.
