Message delivery status after blocking someone

I recently sent someone a message, which delivered, then I proceeded to block them. When I blocked them, I kept texting them on my iPhone. The message did not say delivered on my iPhone, but I checked my iPad and it did say it was delivered on the iPad. When I would text the same person on the iPad, the message would not say delivered on the iPad, but it would say delivered on the iPhone. All this while the person I was texting was already blocked. So my question is, did my messages ACTUALLY deliver after messaging the person while blocked?

So, even if it say deliver, it could still mean I’m blocked? Because I sent a message and it did not go through but later on it went through but then I sent another message and it did not go through but it went through on my iPad and then if I send messages from my iPad to my iPhone it won’t go through but if I send messages from my iPhone, it will show up on my iPad. What does that mean?
