I know Apple Watch can track activity with no internet connection, but I will be at an exercise retreat in rainforest with no connection for a week. Will this activity data be recorded/retained?

We know that you can go for a run, swim, or bike ride without your iPhone, and Apple Watch will store and sync your activity when it connects to your iPhone.
