Monitor for Mac Mini M2

I am thinking about purchasing a Mac Mini M2 but don't know which monitor to get. I am not a gamer and will be doing basic office productivity and photo/movie editing. I think something in the 24-27 inch range would be good. Do I need a monitor with Thunderbolt 4?

Here's one I looked at, but maybe it's more than I need?

Acer - Nitro XV275K P3biipruzx 27" Mini LED UHD 3840 x 2160 FreeSync Premium Gaming Monitor with 160Hz – 1ms – HDR1000

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Just to add, I am a fairly serious amateur photographer and the colors and depth of the LG display are perfectly fine my usage.

In addition, any display you plan to get, toss the cables that come with the display and purchase certified HDMI or DisplayPort cables. Manufacturers will supply the cheapest cables they can get away with and they can sometimes be problematic.

A gaming display such as the one you listed is way overkill for your needs.

No, you do not need a Thunderbolt4 display as the MacMini already has an HDMI port for video.

As far as resolution, 4K displays are nice (I have one myself) but even a 2K display (2560x1440) would well suit your needs. At the size display you are considering, I personally would not consider HD display (1920x1080).

I have had good luck with the basic LG displays. I currently own an LG 27UP600 which is a a basic 4K UHD HDR400 display. It has a minimally adjustable stand. There are two other versions, 650 and 850, which simply add more bells and whistles but all have the same display functionality.
