Why won't close captioning not shut off?

I can't turn off close captioning. Why?

Turn off Final Cut Pro caption auto-completion After updating to the new Final Cut Pro, I found that it would auto complete my sentences / words when I was typing the caption. It made the process extremely slow, I guess it was computing and predicting my words when I was typing, so sometimes it's just not moving. Anyone knows how to turn it off? Thank you!
