ANNOYING WIDGETS AND STACKS

The Widgets and Stacks reappear EVERY TIME I reboot my iPad. (Yes, the iOS is up to date.) I delete them and rearrange my iPad icons how I like them. But then the next time I reboot, or even just turn off the iPad and turn back on the next day, the annoying Widgets and Stacks are back, having messed up everything again. I then have to delete Widgets and Stacks and rearrange all icons again. How do I keep Widgets and Stacks from reappearing on my iPad EVERY TIME I turn it off and back on? I do not want them on my iPad!

Hello jgwm,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. We see you want to permanently remove widgets from your Home Screen layout. Try the steps below. They should resolve the issue.

Reset the Home Screen Layout:

  1. Go Here: Move Apps and Widgets on the Home Screen on iPad - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and apps to their original layout
  3. Proceed from there as necessary

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
