Air printing

I’ve been printing for months from IPhone, now says “can’t find printer?” IPad says same,. When I go to share, select print, says no air printer found! I’ve been printing but my HP Envy is now saying this?

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Hi,

It would probably be correct to assume that your HP Envy printer is one of the AirPrint-supported models in About AirPrint - Apple Support, thus making it possible to print from an iPhone/iPad without an additional app from the printer manufacturer. The printer must be connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router) as the iPhone and iPad.

Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

In case of difficulties recognising an AirPrint printer (and if all settings are OK), you may want to try the following procedure in the described order (do not forget the router):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the iPhone and the iPad, and all other computers/devices. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPhone and the iPad. Finally, power on all other computers/devices.
