Can I add a second internal hard drive to my Macbook Air M2?

I have a Macbook Air M2; I completed the backup of my iPads and iPhones; however, the backup went to my main drive instead of the external drive. This is a two-part question:

1) Can I add a secondary internal HDD to my laptop?

2) Can I transfer the Apple devices backup to my external drive?

  1. No.
  2. Yes. Click "Manage Backups...", secondary-click to "Show in Finder" which reveals its location. You can move it to wherever you like.
