Lost iPhone 12 Pro Max Find My was on, now it’s off

Phone stolen last week, I’ve been able to see it from find my… Today i got a message that “Dear Customer, Your lost iDevice 12 Pro Max has been temporarily switched ON. View location at: http://find-mysupport.info/dezn”, the link asked me to log in but took me nowhere after that, then suddenly the find my is off & i can no longer see the stolen device! How could this happen? I had all the necessary security features like face id, passcode

Sorry, you were scammed. That wasn't a message from Apple, it was a message from the scammers. You just gave them the password to your Apple account. They unlocked your phone and wiped it.

I would suggest changing your Apple account password immediatley, as well as any banking accounts you may have had on there, credit cards, etc.

And unfortunatley, you will never see your phone again either.

I would suggest changing your Apple account password immediatley, as well as any banking accounts you may have had on there, credit cards, etc.

That link has no https encryption. I didn't click on it, but I suspect its probably a phishing link and you got scammed. The thief was probably unable to access the phone as it was locked, but they accessed it now with the info you gave them in the link

So unfortunate. The notification was NOT from Apple, so you've given the thief exactly what they needed to wipe your device and it's a gonner now. As others have recommended, change your Apple ID Password immediately. Change your banking passwords. And you may want to cancel the cards tied to your Apple ID and get new credit cards.
