I still have my original Garage Band app on my Mac Pro(2011 w/ Sierra v10.13.6) and never updated it so I no longer can update with curent version Garage Band. Can I delete original version and install latest? Is it pretty easy to do?

The current version of GB won't run on your Mac which requires Big Sur or later. Did you get your current version on the App Store?
No I did not, it came factory loaded wehn I bought the computer. I've in the meantime when to my nearest Apple store and the tech told me the same thing that my mac won't support the latest version of GB

And if you did not get it from the app store, there is no way to upgrade older versions previous to Big Sur.
