Hi, - on ventura on my MacBook Pro, incoming calls are not 'announced' and so I miss them. This feature can be turned on or off on my iPod, but I can find no similar capability on my laptop.
Am I missing something?

Seems you can: Have your Mac speak announcements - Apple Support
You can set a default ringtone for all incoming FaceTime calls on your Mac:
Change FaceTime ringtones on Mac - Apple Support
You can check your Siri settings : If Siri on Mac doesn’t work as expected - Apple Support
