Movies exported to Desktop have generic icon?

This problem started a couple of days ago.

Any new movie or screenshot etc. that goes on the desktop exhibits a generic icon. All the previous movies residing there show a proper icon, so my desktop is a mixture of generic and correct icons.

I have relaunched the finder but that has not helped.

I am on Monterey 12.6.5 and nothing has been updated recently.

Any suggestions?
