No more ETA info from Siri while using Apple Maps

Siri recently started telling me "she can't provide that information" when I ask for ETA to destination ( ETA is shown on screen though) Anybody having same problem? Solution? (Using app in car through Bluetooth connection not Carplay). All apps and IOS up to date.

Apple Maps - Siri Commands not working in 16.2 Some of the commonly used Siri commands no longer work in iOS 16.2. I often used the commands "Show Route Detail" and "Show Route Overview" when I'm using Apples Maps in CarPlay while driving. Those commands no longer work in 16.2 and you have to touch the screen in order to see the detail. This now makes it very unsafe for drivers to use Apple Maps while driving. Is Apple trying to sabotage itself from making things that actually work? I have the latest iPhone so you would think it would at least work on that. With each day I get closer and closer to jumping to a different brand.

Siri's location dependency for unrelated questions on iPhone 16 Pro Max When I ask Siri a question unrelated to MY location, she tells me she can't answer until I provide my location. for example: Siri where is Mt. Rushmore? She replies: "I can't answer that until I know your location"! I'm NOT asking for directions, JUST TELL ME WHERE IT IS! This is very frustrating. This never happened before recent software updates. I have a 16 pro max and location services IS turned on. Is anyone else having this problem or have a fix for this! Thanks [Re-Titled by Moderator]

CarPlay & Siri: Cannot Get Directions While Driving Up until the last week or so I have always been able to get Siri to give me directions when I am driving. I simply say "Hey Siri, get directions to McDonalds [using Waze]," and CarPlay launches the appropriate app and gives me directions. This past week I've been getting a different response. "Hey Siri, get directions to McDonalds [using Waze]" results in "I'm sorry but I cannot do that while you are driving" or "I'm sorry, but I cannot show you those results while you are driving." It doesn't matter if I leave in Waze or leave that out to use Apple Maps. Every time Siri informs me that she cannot do directions while driving. That means I have to reach over and operate CarPlay by touch, which defeats the safety aspect of queueing up direction by voice. Is anyone else having this problem? Was it a 16.1 update bug (it worked okay in 16.0)? Is there a setting I need to change, or a new way I should phrase my request perhaps? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or solutions! (iPhone 14 Pro with 16.1.1 running as of today... Happened in 16.1 though, maybe 16.0, I don't recall the exact time it started in relation to the update.)

Please check country-specific features on Apple Maps. Everthing is not available in all countries.

When I ask for my ETA, Siri tells me to look at the web (not helpful when driving!) for various places to eat. I live in the greater N.Y. metropolitan area-- no problems whatsoever with connectivity. What is wrong with Sir?
