I added an outlet to my Apple HOme. I would like the light to turn on at specific times. I can't see any way to do that. The Apple help page gives instructions but they include a step that is just not there in the app, so what is the actual way to do it?
When you are on the home page of the Home app there should be three icons across the bottom of the screen, Home, Automation, and Discover. Pressing Automation, and then + should let you create a new automation.

What version of iOS are you running on what device? The + symbol shows for me near the top right of the screen on my iPhone.

This is exactly the problem. I press AUTOMATION, and on the page that pops up, there is no + icon, or any way to add anything, or anything that is clickable at all.
There is no "add automation." So what is the correct answer to how to schedule lights?
